The Planning Decision We All Await

Unfortunately, my hope that the 6,200 objections to to the Greystones Harbour plan would translate into votes for Anti-plan candidate Evelyn Cawley in May's general election was dashed — only about a quarter of that number gave her a first preference vote.
Maybe the rest will think twice next time, having seen the Green Party rush like Gadarene swine into coalition with the very party we were all trying to oust from power, the Fianna Failures, and will see that voting independent increases your chance of influencing outcomes...
We now await the planning decision, hearts in mouth. And on Wikipedia's entry for Greystones, an update showing what the plan would do to our picturesque harbour — check that here.
