Twice as many Europeans say Russia is right

The German daily Die Welt has conducted an online opinion poll asking which side Europe should take in the Caucasus conflict, following the invasion of South Ossetia by Georgia and the counter-invasion by Russia.

Out of almost 5,000 people, 46 per cent say that Europe should support Russia, 31 per cent believe it should be neutral. Just 23 per cent, half the numbers supporting Russia, say Europe should take the Georgian side.

Anybody out there have the feeling that this viewpoint is represented in the media or by EU governments? Mmmm... I thought not.
