Nuclear Power is Safe?

We have a guy here who is a passionate advocate of nuclear power as a solution to our energy needs, especially with oil prices soaring and the end of oil in sight. His name is Dr Edward Walsh, and he is, or was, president of the University of Limerick. He wants to see "a cluster" of nuclear power plants built here, in order to reach a stage comparable to France, where 80% of electricity is generated at nuclear plants. Jerome Brarda aims to smash Miami-Bimini speed record in 42' Supercat

MIAMI, 6 August 2015 — WORLD FAMOUS offshore powerboat racer Jérôme Brarda aims to beat the world speed record for his class between Miami and Bimini Island this year. Brarda will drive his 42-foot Supercat from Miami to Bimini Island and back on 31 October next, hoping to crack the existing time for the run with the help of an ace new throttleman. Hardly had finished the previous post when another sticker came through the letterbox. This one is yellow, shows hands and a baby as logo, and invokes 'people with physical disabilities', the victims of Chernobyl, and 'elderly people left behind with no families' as some you might 'want to help'. It doesn't actually claim that by leaving out your clothing you actually will help these categories of deserving people. It also gives a website, www.orphanhomecare.org, and a company reg number, 412080. The website is listed widely as a scam site, though it throws up just a 404 error and has been redirected to a Lithuanian site, www.vgn.remo.lt, where, if you poke about, you do find the same logo.
